MORNING CLASS ONLY! Due to insufficient sign-ups, we've canceled the afternoon class. Sales for the morning class will end Thursday, April 25th at 10am (or earlier, if we reach 16 participants.)
Ready to move past the basics of Hand-Lettering? AIGA Blue Ridge has invited Amy Latta back to teach advanced techniques. Amy will be covering design composition, flourishes, bounce lettering, and more. We're holding one class with just 16 people each, so sign up today. You'll also have an opportunity to purchase Amy's new book, Hand Lettering for Laughter: Gorgeous Art with a Hilarious Twist as part of your ticket price (or you can purchase any of Amy's books at the workshop.)
Amy's original hand-lettered designs have been featured nationally in Starbucks and GAP stores. You can also find her designs on apparel and home decor. Amy is an award-winning blogger and loves spending time with her family and drinking lots and lots of coffee. Her book Hand Lettering for Relaxation was released in July 2017 and in less than a month it went for a second print run. Since then, a Portuguese version, Calagrafia para Relaxar has made waves in Brazil, and she's released Express Yourself: A Hand Lettering Workbook for Kids.
We'll be teaching advanced techniques in the workshop, so you'll be expected to know the basics of faux calligraphy and brush lettering. We're keeping the class sizes small, so Amy can give more personalized attention to her students. Please bring a picture frame (8x10 or smaller) to finish your project and show it off to friends and family!
1 session: 10am-noon
